How I Apply What I Learn
I believe the best way to understand technology is through practical application. These projects reflect how I’ve supported operational systems, contributed to technology adoption, and continue building analytical and AI capabilities to support smarter business decisions.
Project 1: AI Tool Adoption in Sales Operations (At Verizon)
Objective: Support the rollout and adoption of AI-enabled tools within operations (Gemini GEM & NotebookLM) and sales (Salesforce CRM) workflows to improve efficiency and help teams integrate new technology into their daily processes.
My Role: Partnered with stakeholders to support AI tool integration such as Velocity AI within Salesforce CRM to enhance prospecting and account research, enabling reps to quickly access consolidated customer insights, anticipate objections through mock Q&A scenarios, and replace hours of manual research with faster, more strategic preparation for customer engagement, and identified workflow opportunities to incorporate my 70+ page “Where Do I Go?” sales playbook into the tool, enabling reps to ask questions and instantly retrieve guidance on processes, tasks, workarounds, escalation paths, departmental ownership, and account thresholds without manually searching through slides. This created a single, interactive source for operational support, delivering faster answers and improving field adoption by bridging operational needs with system capabilities.
I also held a standing weekly call with Sr. Managers to train them on using Gemini GEM and NotebookLM for their projects, and to demonstrate how we could apply these tools to our monthly All-Hands meetings by generating concise, consolidated summaries for field teams, eliminating the need for reps to review entire presentation decks to extract key updates.
Impact: Supported increased AI tool adoption and improved operational efficiency by helping align new technology with real operation and sales workflows, enabling more effective and confident use by the teams.
Project 2: Power BI Sales Dashboard Project (In Progress)
Objective: Develop hands-on experience building dashboards to visualize business data and support performance insights.
My Role: Using sample sales and operational datasets through ChatGPT 15-minute micro learnings to build dashboards that track performance trends, identify patterns, and improve data storytelling. Those projects will be posted to the site once completed.
Impact: Strengthening my ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.
Project 3: AI-Assisted Workflow Optimization Using ChatGPT (In Progress)
Objective: Explore how AI can support operational workflows, analysis, and productivity.
My Role: Using ChatGPT to assist with workflow analysis, data interpretation, and building 15-minute micro-learning incorporating Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python exercises to strengthen analytical and operational thinking. Those projects will be posted to the site once completed.
Impact: Improving efficiency, accelerating learning, and developing practical experience applying AI in business scenarios.
Project 4: Power BI Capstone Project: Analyzing and Visualizing Data (video below)
Objective: The objective of this Capstone project assignment from my edX upskilling course was to analyze complex, real-world data and develop an interactive Power BI dashboard that transforms raw information into clear, actionable insights. The focus was not simply to build visuals, but to answer meaningful business questions.
Because executives don’t ask, “Can you build me a dashboard?” They ask:
• Are things getting better or worse?
• Where should we focus our attention?
• What decisions do we need to prepare for?
This dashboard was designed to answer those questions by visualizing:
• Total case trends over time
• Daily new case volatility
• Growth rate acceleration and slowdowns
• Interactive filtering by country and time
The goal was to present data in a way that helps decision-makers quickly understand patterns, monitor performance, and identify areas that require attention.
My Role: I independently designed and developed this dashboard using Power BI as part of my Capstone project. My work included preparing and structuring the dataset, building interactive visualizations, and organizing the dashboard to support clear interpretation.
I applied core data analysis and visualization techniques to ensure the dashboard was intuitive, interactive, and focused on answering real-world business questions rather than simply displaying data.
I also developed a walkthrough video to demonstrate how users can interact with the dashboard and explore insights dynamically.
Impact: This project strengthened my ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making. It gave me hands-on experience designing dashboards that go beyond reporting numbers and instead provide clarity, context, and direction.
More importantly, it reinforced the principle that the true value of analytics is not in the dashboard itself, but in its ability to help leaders understand what is happening, why it matters, and where to focus next.
This capstone reflects my continued development in analytics and my commitment to applying data and technology in practical ways that support business operations and performance.
Note: Due to account publishing limitations, this dashboard is demonstrated through a recorded walkthrough of the report environment. The video below shows the report structure and functionality from within Power BI; in a production setting, users would interact with the dashboard through a clean, front-end interface.
